City Center Parking Facility
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
The Central Oklahoma Transportation and Parking Authority hired ADG to design a 2,000-car parking facility on a prominent downtown site. The site is adjacent to Devon Energy’s new 50-story corporate campus that is currently under construction. The west garage was designed to accommodate five more levels to provide 1,000 additional parking spaces, which Devon has folded in to its scope.
The parking facility was built in two phases to minimize the affect of lost spaces on revenue. Each of the two six-story structures was designed with unique architectural features such as multiple window openings and a variety of reveals, colors, and textures. The structures are comprised of precast concrete wall panels, columns and beams. Special LED lighting makes the garage a downtown beacon, adding to the sense of security for visitors.
