El Reno, OK, August 7, 2011 — Architectural Design Group, Inc., an Oklahoma City-based design and program management firm, recently designed a memory care center addition to the St. Katherine Drexel Retirement Center in El Reno. Groundbreaking ceremonies were held Sunday, August 7th with Archbishop Paul Coakley in attendance.
The $2.2 million memory care center will provide much-needed specialized facilites to care for residents suffering from memory loss. The project is scheduled for completion in Summer 2012.
The Cottage at St. Katharine will be the name of the new 12,000-square-foot center that includes 16 single-resident rooms, community living and dining areas, a small kitchen and a group activities area. The exterior design aesthetic is consistent with the adjacent retirement center.
St. Katharine Drexel Retirement Center is an assisted living facility serving the community of El Reno as a ministry of Sacred Heart Parish and is sponsored by the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City. The 54-bed facility provides private apartment-style living with the convenience and safety of 24-hour access to assistance as needed.
